Paramedical courses are usually related to the allied healthcare sector. These courses are just as useful and job oriented as the courses directly related to the field of healthcare The paramedical courses can be accomplished after 10th standard, 12th standard and graduation.

Paramedical courses trains students and turns them into skilled and qualified allied healthcare workers and technicians. Along with Doctors and Nurses, allied healthcare workers also play an integral role in the smooth functioning of the healthcare industry in India. These courses vary in length, such as one-year courses and six-month courses. Certificate paramedical courses could last anywhere between 6 months to 2 years.  Diploma courses could last anywhere between 1-3 years and Bachelor’s Degree courses are usually 3 years long. Some academic programs are 4 years long (theory + practical training).

  • JIPMER  All India Entrance Exam.

 

Nursing A nurse provides hands-on care to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing and monitoring patients' conditions, maintaining records and communicating with doctors.
  • After 10th – Diploma in ANM (auxiliary nursing and midwifery)-     2 YEARS

 

  • After 12th-
  • Diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM)-              3 ½ YEARS.

 

  • Bachelor of Science or B.Sc Nursing- 4 years.

 

  • To work as a registered nurse, one has to get registered with a state Nursing Council after graduation.
  • Candidates should pass 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and he/she should be medically fit.

 

  • ENTRANCE EXAM:-

·  AIIMS Entrance Exam- It conducts entrance exams for its B Sc Nursing and B Sc Nursing post basic course. The exam is usually conducted in June.

 

·  AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College) Entrance Exam

 

·  JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research) Entrance Exam.

 

·  Lady Hardings Medical College - This College situated in Delhi also conducts entrance exams for admission to its B Sc (Hons) Nursing course.

 

Anaesthesia technician

Under B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology program, the eligible candidates are provided training in types of equipment that are used for Anaesthesia, different Anaesthesia agents, the techniques that need to be used for giving Anaesthesia as well as its allowable dosage which depends on the patient and operational conditions
