The Armed Forces has many jobs on offer but not all of them are available to everyone. The careers that require certain skills, qualifications or abilities are not always going to suit everyone. For example, if you wanted to join the Royal Army Medical Corps, you would need at least two A Levels in science subjects such as biology or chemistry and then also be interested in medicine and healthcare.

The Armed Forces have a variety of opportunities for those interested in a career in the military. The Indian Armed Forces is the world's third largest military force and has a number of diverse roles to offer.

The Indian armed forces are made up of three main branches:
