CS is better. One can always go for AI/DS after CS.
But not vice versa.
Industry does not differentiate too much between these two profiles. As long as you do a statistics course, data science is covered.
And AI ke liye either you need previous experience or masters/PhD (or luck).
I would be sceptical of bachelors degree in AI
There is not much difference in the syllabus. Most of the Computer Engineering subjects are present in the AI/DS
